Happy Christmas! We're Going To The Playoffs!

I there a bigger jerk-off in the NFL than Mike Shanahan? I’ve been saying for years now that I’ve never witnessed someone so taken with himself as Mike. It takes special type of ass hole to cash in the season when his team is 7-4 just because his veteran QB makes him look a little less brilliant than he thinks he is from time to time. It’ll be fun to watch the rest of team continue to just fold on him like they did yesterday. Sure we had our little third quarter hiccup, which is an alarming trend, but that game was never as close as the scoreboard indicated. I believe this will be the straw that breaks Denver’s back for quite some time. I predict a string of bad years for the Shit Ponies. Cutler won’t be the answer as the fans will turn on him for not being John Elway. The running game is finally starting to look “just good.” The defense is getting exposed weekly, and until they clone Champ Bailey, Darrent Williams is going to be running around in that secondary with a giant bulls-eye on his jersey.

Our guys just continue to be excellent. Rivers finally got off again and Peter King can say home field in the play-offs is overrated, but Phillip sure looked more comfy in the Q-Murph than he’s looked for a few weeks. TBE is nuclear and completely unfair. Lorenzo Neal? I’m not even going to mention it. This team is simply the best right now, and there is only one team in the NFL that worries me anymore. No, not the Ravens. The Saints. Why the Saints? You know. That team is pretty solid, and sometimes the clearest indicator for success is motivation. Let’s say the Bolts go to the big game and see Drew Brees standing across the field. Who could ever be more motivated? You know Brees would like nothing more than to jam about 7 TDs up A.J. Smith’s ass.

Just kidding, I’m not afraid of anybody in this league. Bring them all on! Go Bolts!!!

The team that scares me the most is the Bengals. It would really be upsettting to see a repeat of 1981, but I do gain comfort from the fact that if we do meet them again in the playoffs, this time it will be in our house.

I was just talking this morning about how the Bengals are the one kind of freaky team in the AFC right now. They match up well with us, and can certainly hold their own in a shoot out. It really looks to me like their game against us was for them what our game against the Ravens was. A total eye opener. The Ravens, Colts and Pats don't inspire much dread in me, but the Bengals could make life difficult for us on a good day. I, too, am happy that we'd see them here, because Cincy in January is bound to be ugly. But look out for the Steelers,I really think they're ready to make a run. Or Miami. Maybe even Buffalo. Rhein Fire?

I guess we could also gain comfort in the fact that Manimal hasn't tasted Cincy blood this year yet.

Where the hell are my fantasy projections Colossus??!! Oh, btw, nice call on Matt Jones over Devery Henderson... On the upside, our Chargers are giving us much love. I was relating stories to my poor, depressed Denver friend today. I waxed nestalgic for 1994 and the drunken revelry that was our life. Our weeks revolved around the Charger games. Our team getting to the big dance was about as badass to us as langing a man on the moon. Remember the Miami game? The Steeler game? Those were good, good times. It was all about the journey. Who cares if we got our ass handed to us by San Fran and we haven't done jack since? Those memories of good times, PB Bar and Grill, shopping cart rides, tears of joy and blackouts will be with us forever. The AFC is ours again! Viva Los Chargers! Y uno mas anchor steam por favor.

Ah yes, good times. Call me anytime for fantasy projections. If I post them here, CJ breaks out in hives and Fryanegg gets all weepy and upset cause Jim Rome might not have me on his show.
