Up In Arms...

As we all know, the proverbial shit definitely caked the fan to the point of non operation on Sunday evening here at the Murph. Our newly appointed rivals punished us at the expense of our well documented errors for a victory bringing them one step closer to their 4th Super Trophy in the last 6 years. Much acclaim should be showered upon the squad. However, the criticism that has been lobbed not so subtly in TBE's direction for his comments following the Patsies celebration on our turf is not warranted and certainly his class should not come into question.

TBE was one of very few Bolts that actually showed he gave a shit in defeat on Sunday. When certain other members of the NFL have danced and celebrated on opposing teams logos at mid field were dealt with in a much harsher manner. Unfortunately there isn't a youtube I could find, but when he celebrated a touchdown on Dallas' star and Darren Woodson tried to take his head off, I don't remember people calling out Woodson for a "classless act". Why the double standard now?

If anything LTD should be commended for standing up for our program and what he believed after he left his heart on the field. Innappropriate? Maybe. But, I'd rather have a guy like that going to war for us than the other Chargers that stood there and took it in the shitcan lubeless as the Patsies danced in our house.

Sorry if that is a dissenting opinion and with all due respect, I like LTD that much more for wearing our uniform and defending our squad. Perhaps if everyone had played with that passion on Sunday, we wouldn't be watching two other teams battling for the right to go to the Super Bowl.

Apples and oranges on the TO thing. TO did it during the game. Twice. And I don't begrudge TBE for being upset and speaking his mind. In the heat of the moment I would have been more than happy to see him clock Ellis Hobbs, whoever the fuck that is supposed to be, right upside the head. Afterwards, though, you need to just drop it instead of letting the media continue to bait you into yammering on and on about it. It begins to look less and less classy, and more like whining. If you want to bitch about what happened on the field Sunday, try bitchin about the things that your own teammates did to affect the outcome of the game. That's all I was trying to say. Suck it if I hurt your feelings, sissy.

Fuck that. You don't just turn off your emotion because the final gun sounded. In fact, most players turn it up at that moment because they realize they can't do anything about the outcome anymore and that's when the passion comes out.

The media asked him to explain his actions after the fact which he did. What he said in the press conference has nothing to do with class. He didn't fight anyone he just let the Pats know he was upset. He was truthful when speaking in the press conference. He voiced his opinion. That speaks nothing to his class. God the world is so full of pussies anymore its fucking sickening.

I don't think I understand your point. You think it's manly to continue, days after the event, to complain about how the other team made fun of you after they beat you in your house? I already said I understand the initial reaction. I even understand explaining it to the media directly after the game. But the next day? And the next day? Come on.

And does my pointing it out make me a pussy? What is your criteria for pussies? I'm confused.

The media didn't wait two days to call him out for being 'classless'. They did that right away. The fact that he is still defending himself two days later is a result of people continuing to prod him about it.

And your thought that calling out teammates that helped contribute to the loss is not exactly a good strategy either. Ask Peyton Manning after his 'we had protection problems' speach after his ouster last year.

And the pussies I'm referring to are the media types who push this as a story. LT has no class. Right. That's about as accurate shooting a cat out of a potato gun.

I think you're being kind of a baby. But it's cute the way you're sticking up for your boyfriend.

Yeah, my stance on this is rather 'babyish'. That makes a whole lot of sense.

I think what the Pats did is worse than what Owens did. At least Owens did something positive (scored a TD) and then celebrated. The Pats were celebrating after a missed field goal, which they had no control over. And the game was still going on when they rushed the field; there were 3 seconds left.

If it had been the other way around, and the Chargers had done that in Foxborough, would you be calling them "classless"? Or would you have thought they were entitled to it because they won?

Yeah, thought so.

George Teague blew up T.O. in the Midfield Star game.

My bad. George Teague. No wonder youtube didn't have it with Darren Woodson. Once again, I'm retarded.

And let's not lose sight of the fact that I don't care that the Patsies were dancing on our bolt. They won. But if you do that, and someone takes exception to it, you just might have it coming. It's not a classless act to enact vengeance if it might bother someone in a very emotionally charged state. I'd have gone out there with an axe with a chipped rusty blade given the opportunity.
